All too often, eye makeup tips put too much focus on glamour. I know, I know – it’s hard to imagine. Is it really possible to be too glamorous? However, eye makeup can sometimes bring to mind the saying “less is more.” You simply do not have the option of wearing that elaborate smoky eye club look to work. At least, you probably shouldn’t.
Of course, you can still get your eyes noticed with less makeup. You can get many of the same effects with less makeup for everyday wear. In fact these looks can save you major minutes. This look took over 5 minutes off my eye makeup application time.
Accentuating the eyes is the main goal for eye makeup. Making your eyes bigger is the best way to do this with everyday makeup. If you do not want “made up” eyes then this eye makeup tip will help you.
You will need a golden toned eye shadow and a darker tone like brown or bronze. The colors should complement your skin tones. They should be reflective, but definitely not glittery. Loreal’s “Wear Infinite” Holographic line is good for this look.
1. Apply the light eye shadow up to your brow. This will even out your skin and give you a smooth, bright eye area.
2. Make a smudgy line using the darker eye shadow in the crease of your eye. You are basically going to draw a thick semi-circle over your eye. When your eyes are open the darker shade will widen and brighten them.
At this point you are all done. You can enjoy your new, bright and doe-eyed look. You can also dress up the look using violet in the semi circle and white or pink in the background. You might also apply a slightly darker shade on your lid. Make your look pop with bright colors along the eyelid. Use these eye makeup tips to get bright, enormous eyes.
